Meet Hansons-Brooks South Coaches

The Hansons-Brooks South Team will be directed by RIck Moody.  Moody is the owner of the WARR10R Running Camps and has credentials and beliefs that make him stand out as a distance coach.  After Moody's first meeting with Kevin Hanson, both were on the same page with training, beliefs, philosophy, and racing.  Thus the reason for creating the Hansons-Brooks South Team.

Moody's credentials include:

BS in Physical Education

MS in Sport Management

USA Track and Field Level I Certification

USA Track and Field Level II Certification (Endurance)

Coached distance runners since 1995

Coached in college for 4 years.

Has coached over 100 runners to personal best times in events from the 1600 meters to the marathon.

Currently works with Austin Richmond - 2:25 marathoner...Richmond ran in the 17s for the 5K in high school and has progressed so much under Moody's training.

Moody's Coaching beliefs are a melting pot of ideas that have been learned through experience.  Experience includes trial and error, speaking with the best coaches (HS, College, Professional), reading what the best coaches are doing and applying what is uderstood into training.  He uses science along with experience to give the athletes the best opportunity to perform at their best.
